Carburetor maintenance is important for small displacement bikes!

Even with the small cylinder size, a 50cc motorcycle can easily be ridden by a large rider. Although the concept of displacement itself is on track to disappear in the future, 50cc is the starting point of the motorcycle hobby for many riders. One bike that is a prime example of the 50cc class is the Honda Super Cub, which was like a textbook for motorcycle tinkering in the carb era.

Overhauling and setting up a simple piston valve carburetor is the best way to learn the ins and outs of carbs, and KEYSTER's Carburetor Fuel Adjustment Kit is a strong ally in this process. The basis of carburetor setting is to adjust the air mixture by changing the size of the pilot jet, main jet, and jet needle according to the intake air volume that changes based on the specifications of the air cleaner, exhaust, and engine itself. The main feature of the Fuel Adjustment Kit is that you can have multiple jet and needle sizes at hand in advance to accommodate changes in engine and intake/exhaust system specifications. Another attractive point is that the kit can also be used for overhauling as it includes rubber parts that deteriorate over time, such as float chamber gaskets and O-rings.

In order to meet the needs of owners of the highly popular Super Cub, KEYSTER has released nine types of fuel adjustment kits, ranging from the first-generation C100 to the last-generation AA01. The type is differentiated by the carburetor model number, so it is important to check the engraving on the carburetor itself before purchasing. This Fuel Adjustment Kit is a must-have item for owners who want to keep riding their 50cc Super Cub for years to come.

This Fuel Adjustment Kit fully covers all necessary parts from setting to overhaul!

The AA01 Super Cub was introduced in 1999 to comply with new emission regulations, and became the last carburetor model when the FI version was introduced in 2007.

The Fuel Adjustment Kit contains 3 different sizes of pilot jets, 6 main jets, 4 jet needles, and also includes float needle valves and gaskets. The compatible carburetor is the AA01 stock PB3LA.

The Super Cub engine can be started with just a few kicks, even if the bike has been left unused for a long period of time. However, if the gasoline has degraded inside the carb and the jets are clogged, overhaul is necessary. By replacing the various parts with new parts from a fuel adjustment kit, you can experience the fun of tinkering with the carburetor.

D-type screw requires a special screwdriver

The AA01 model is equipped with a D-type pilot screw as stock, which is used to prevent CO/HC concentration from being changed on accident. A special screwdriver is required for adjustment and removal. The pilot screw included in the Fuel Adjustment Kit is a standard flathead.

Fuel Adjustment Kit for the more powerful 90cc is also available

The Super Cub 90, equipped with a powerful engine to carry large loads, was introduced in 1968. KEYSTER also offers nine different kits for the C90, K3, carburetor model PB25D, PB48, and PB5KA.
