Yamaha has announced the 2026 XSR900 GP ABS model for the Japanese market. It will be available in two color schemes, the new "Light Reddish Yellow Solid 1 (yellow)" and the continuing "Silky White (white)," with the yellow model priced at 1,463,000 yen and the white model remaining at 1,430,000 yen, the same as the previous model. The yellow model will go on sale on February 27, with a planned sales volume of 600 units for both colors.

Newly adopting Yamaha's racing legacy "intercolor

The XSR900 GP was based on the motif of the racer replicas of the 1980s, and the coloring lineup included "Silky White," a Marlboro color motif reminiscent of the Yamaha works machines of the time. The 2026 model year of the XSR900 GP features the "Light Reddish Yellow Solid 1," which is based on the so-called "US Inter Color" motif of a yellow body with black strobe lines that was unveiled overseas last year and displayed at the Mobility Show and attracted a lot of attention. The "US Intercolor" livery originated from Yamaha International Corporation, an American subsidiary of Nippon Gakki Seisakusho (now Yamaha Corporation), which was established in 1960. This yellow with black strobe lines was called "Chain Block" at the time, and was first used as the livery for these factory teams from around 1970. This coloring, which can be said to represent Yamaha, is also called "Strobe Color" or "Yamaha US Color," in addition to "US Inter Color," but currently only the graphic name is unified as "Speed Block.
