On September 8, 2026, KTM announced the 2027 model "690 RALLY." Based on the "690 ENDURO R," this long-distance off-road model features dual front fuel tanks that increase capacity to approximately 20 liters and is equipped with a dedicated rally tower with an integrated windshield. Production will begin at the Austrian assembly line in September 2026, with sales starting at authorized dealers in October of the same year.

The lineage of the "640 ADVENTURE," returning to the roots of rally raid with the LC4
KTM announced the 690 RALLY as a model that returns to the company's rally raid roots, focusing on long-distance off-road exploration and performance on harsh terrain. It is the spiritual successor to the iconic "640 ADVENTURE" and is said to bring a rally-derived sense of purpose back to the LC4 platform.
The base is the proven 690 ENDURO R. Its dual-sport nature has been developed in a clear direction toward range, stability, and ease of handling over long distances. It is designed to handle everything from technical off-road sections to high-speed liaison stages, bridging the gap between the agility of a lightweight enduro and rally-level durability.
Dual front tanks for 20 liters of fuel, equipped with a dedicated rally tower
The biggest change is the fuel capacity. The dual fuel tanks added to the front hold 7 liters, while the rear tank inherited from the 690 ENDURO R holds 13 liters, for a total of approximately 20 liters. This ensures a cruising range that allows for continued riding even in remote areas with few refueling points. Note that this rear tank is also part of the vehicle structure, and the rear subframe is listed in the specifications as a "self-supporting plastic tank."
The front end features a specially designed rally tower with an integrated windshield, forming a full-scale rally cockpit. This enhances wind protection at high speeds and during long-distance travel, reducing fatigue on long off-road stages and transit sections.
