This project picks up and introduces one bike that the editorial department is interested in from the "My Bikes" posted on the Webike Community. This time, we are featuring the YAMAHA "Majesty S", owned by "Shige-san".

Majesty S (155cc) Owner: Shige-san

The Yamaha Majesty S was introduced as a 155cc class scooter that inherits the lineage of the 250cc class "Majesty" big scooter while pursuing more compact and sporty performance. It gained popularity as a model capable of handling a wide range of uses, from commuting to school or work to weekend touring, by combining mobility in urban areas with an engine displacement that allows for highway travel. By adopting a flat floorboard, it enhances daily usability, while its high-rigidity frame, 13-inch front and rear wheels, and disc brakes realize sporty riding performance. Although new vehicle sales have ended, it remains a bike that continues to attract attention in the used market due to its excellent usability.

Owner Shige-san was looking for a 250cc class scooter, but changed his target to the slightly smaller 150cc class due to garage space constraints. He purchased the Majesty S because it met his criteria for model year and equipment. He says it is mainly used for touring on local roads and occasionally for touring that utilizes highways. The fact that he calls his beloved bike "Mini Maje" shows his attachment to its just-right size.

■Purchase Motivation, Usage, and Comparison Models

I was looking for a 250cc class scooter, but it was too big to put in my garage, so I looked for a slightly smaller 150cc class, and I bought this one because it met my conditions for model year, equipment, etc.
I mainly use it for touring on local roads and occasionally for touring using highways.
Comparison models were X Force, PCX160, Burgman 200, and Majesty S.

■Pros

It has a vehicle size that is neither too big nor too small, making it easy to ride and it runs better than I thought. I also think it looks cool.
It is an all-rounder that is easy to use for commuting and city riding.

■Cons

Fuel economy is poor because it is a high-revving engine. The suspension is a bit stiff, but I like it stiff, so it's just right for me.

■Advice for Future Buyers

If you are interested in big scooters, I think this is just right for an entry-level model. However, since new sales have ended, if you are hesitating, there are many with affordable vehicle prices, so I think you should go ahead and buy one.
