This project picks up and introduces one bike that the editorial department is interested in from the "My Bikes" posted on the Webike Community. This time, we are featuring the KAWASAKI "Balius," owned by "kei."
Balius (250cc) Owner: kei
KAWASAKI's "Balius" is a 250cc-class naked model that debuted in 1991. It is equipped with a liquid-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine from the ZXR250 racer replica series, tuned for low-to-mid range performance, and gained popularity for its exhilarating engine feel that revs high and its easy-to-handle body size. Its flowing styling, including a beautifully curved tank and an upswept tail cowl, is also one of its charms.
In 1997, it evolved into the "Balius II," which changed the rear suspension from a single shock to a dual shock setup, and it was loved by many riders for a long time. Today, 250cc 4-cylinder models themselves have become rare, and it is a discontinued bike that still boasts strong popularity in the used market.
Owner kei purchased the Balius because it was "a bike I've wanted to ride for a long time." They seem to enjoy it mainly for solo touring. The joy of finally owning their dream bike really comes through.
