In this project, the editorial department picks up and introduces one interesting bike from the MY BIKES posted on the Webike community. This time, we are featuring the HONDA "Super Cub 110", owned by "Ume".
Super Cub 110 (110cc) Owner: Ume
Since the birth of the first model in 1958, the Honda Super Cub series has been synonymous with practical motorcycles loved all over the world. Among them, the Super Cub 110 is supported by a wide range of people as a model that combines the ample power performance of the moped class 2 with traditional styling.
Not only for its robustness as a practical vehicle and excellent fuel efficiency, but in recent years it has also gained strong popularity as a hobby bike, serving as a base vehicle for customization using abundant aftermarket parts. The depth of its versatility, which can flexibly change its appearance to suit the rider's lifestyle from daily commuting to long touring, can be said to be the greatest charm of the Super Cub 110.
Ume, who we are introducing this time, nicknamed their bike "Midori-san 3-go" and chose the Super Cub 110 with the premise of customization. After comparing it with the C125, they were attracted by the abundance of custom parts and the character of the "Cub as a practical vehicle". It seems that their future custom concepts are expanding, and it is clear that they are fully enjoying their Cub life.
<From MY BIKE comments>
■Purchase motivation, usage, and comparison models
I struggled a lot between this and the C125, but I decided on this one based on the abundance of custom parts and the ease of customization. I had a mysterious theory that the Cub as a so-called practical vehicle is this one, right? As a result, the price difference was settled by spending it on customization. Thinking about future custom spending, the C125, which is harder to tinker with, might have been cheaper.
■Pros
Traditional style that you won't get tired of
Can also carry two people
Abundant custom parts, and can be designed to any specification: practical, touring, cafe racer style, adventure style, off-road style, etc.
Fun to ride, good fuel economy.
Power performance that never has trouble keeping up with traffic flow.
Center stand makes daily maintenance easy
Peace of mind with 428 chain
Easy to change plugs and oil
Quite popular with other bike riders
■Cons
Expensive. 350,000 for the body from the 2026 model! Including options like insurance, front basket, and grip heaters, plus delivery maintenance fees, it cost nearly 500,000 to get on the road.
Removing the plastic exterior is super troublesome. The snap-fit parts of the handlebar cover are easy to break, and if possible, it's actually cheaper to leave it to a professional. Even just replacing the front brake lever requires removing this exterior.
■Advice for future buyers
Cubs are often subjected to dangerous overtaking and forceful cutting in by some drivers. In such cases, it is best not to engage with them and just ignore them. Installing a conspicuous dashcam has a significant preventive effect. I have mine attached to my helmet.
■Future custom plans
Since there are infinite custom parts, delusional customization is the most fun part.
