TEAM CB's CB1100F
TEAM CB has handled the CB-F series for many years, the bike is based on the 1983 North American CB1100F, but with less of the glitter and flamboyance. The main concept of this bike is to be austere and cool, and the color scheme is black and gunmetal, which is not too flashy, so that it can be ridden by old riders in their 50s.
Their bikes' styling, slightly raised exhaust and tail, and other features of previous their bikes are retained, while the entire body color scheme was thoroughly monotone. This bike is based on parts that had been stored in a disassembled state for nearly 15 years. These parts were first cleaned, painted, and then assembled one by one. The frame was also stripped of unnecessary parts, reinforced (in eight places), and laid down for a powder-coated finish. The engine was custom ordered with Φ71mm pistons from JE Pistons. The CB1100F is very rare in terms of OEM parts, so they had to search for cam chain tensioners and other parts made in foreign countries.
Handle
The gauges consists of STACK step motor speedometer and tachometer mounted within the stock gauge case. An Active high throttle, Brembo RCS master cylinder (both on the right side), and KOHKEN mechanical holder (clutch side) are also installed. The stem is a Wheelie CB1300SF stem.
Bodyworks
Custompaint Draws painted the exterior, and BP Nakayama built the frame and engine. Carbon pattern and Alcantara seat are made by Neo Factory.
Engine
The bike was based on the North American specifications of the '83 CB1100F. 1092cc engine with JE Pistons-made 1mm oversize 71 mm forged pistons. This choice was made to leave room for another 1mm of expansion in the future. The camshafts are the CB1100R and 1100F.
The carburetor is FCR 35mm black body, the oil lines are their original products, and the oil cooler is an ACTIVE Round type 11inch and 16 stage.
Intake & Exhaust
The exhaust, shaped to give movement to the austere bodywork, is set with the last one of TEAM CB iron tubes (Velasco type steel tubes).
Chassis
NITRON front forks, whose inner tube and bottom case are both black, are Φ43mm. And the front brakes, which are gold and silver as a color complement to the overall black and gunmetal color scheme, are Brembo 4P calipers and Sunstar discs (black inner discs).
The swingarm is made of aluminum with triple squares cross section, and the rear shocks are by NITRON. Even the EK chain and sprocket are unified in gunmetal and black.
The 15 spoke wheels are forged aluminum Gale Speed TYPE-S, 3.50-17/6.00-17 size. The rearsets are Nitro Racing.
