Customized machine introduction: Is "ruggedness" the biggest selling point of Active's CB1000F?

Aluminum parts are "daringly" two-dimensionally machined
The Active CB1000F, with its bright red and blue all-painted exterior, pays homage to the limited edition 1979 CB750F "Bol d'Or." The vehicle was created based on the concept of a street custom, with the suspension and brakes and other parts made by the company to improve handling, while not ignoring comfort. Instead of using the latest 3D (three-dimensional) cutting method, which is capable of complex processing, 2D (two-dimensional) cutting, which has straight edges, was purposely adopted.This choice was made with an awareness of the customization scene in the1990s, when the modification of the old CB-F series was popular.At that time, billet aluminum partscould not be machined as precisely as they are now, so the form was generally straight and somewhat rugged.By reproducingsuch an old-schoolatmosphere with 2D cutting, the CB1000F isintended tohave the atmosphere of the CB-F custom of"those days".
Highly recommended stem with adjustable offset
The first specific direction of the customization is to improve the driving performance and control ability. One of Active's most popular parts is the convertible stem kit. The main feature of this kit is that the fork offset can be switched between 35mm (stock value) and 32.5mm, and the stiffness value is also optimized for street sports. This stem kit also features a set of separate handlebars, which are 125mm lower than the normal bar handlebars at the handlebar end, but with a reduced droop angle and narrower aperture for a position that is not too tight. The fork clamp also gives the kit a look similar to the old CB-F series.For those who are not ready to replace the stem, a top bridge and handlebar set is also available, or the convertible stem kit can be upgraded with the purchase of an under stem (96,800 yen).
The Convertible Stem Kit (198,000 yen; scheduled for release in March 2026) includes all the parts necessary for installation, such as brake hoses and wires, in addition to a separate handle. It will be available in the black and silver colors shown in the photo.
Offset is variable by changing the orientation of the eccentric collar that the stem shaft sticks into. The 32.5mm offset, which is shorter than the factory setting, is said to provide quicker and sportier handling.
The handlebars are fork-clamp type like the stock CB-F of yesteryear. The wing-shaped top bridge is a straight line, like a machined aluminum part from the 1990s.
The separate handlebar and top bridge set costs 110,000 yen. The handlebars are 125mm lower than stock at the end, and the aperture angle can be set between 128 and 132 degrees compared to the stock 124 degrees. As with the stem kit, accessories are also included.
The understem can be purchased individually or upgraded to a convertible stem kit.
The back step (55,000 yen; scheduled for release in March 2026) has four positions, as well as 360-degree crank adjustment for the left and right pedal pegs. It also features machined edges on the step bar (photo: prototype).
The back step is available in silver and black at the same price (photo shows prototype).
A stand-alone step bar that attaches to the standard step holders is also available. It costs 9,900 yen for the rider side and 11,000 yen for the tandem side (photo shows tandem side), and boasts a hollowed-out backside and 6-step angle adjustment. Available in black and silver.
The radiator core guard (26,400 yen; scheduled for release in December) is made of etched stainless steel material. In addition to preventing damage to the core, it also protects the sides of the radiator with its rounded shape.
The rear caliper support (25,300 yen; scheduled for release in January 2026) is for installation of Gale Speed (pictured is the billet rear 2-pot axial caliper: 33,000 yen) or Brembo 2-pot calipers with 84mm pitch. The brake discs are Gale Speed monofloating disc rotors (20,350 yen).
The fenderless kit (33,000 yen; scheduled to go on sale in December), which is compliant with vehicle inspections, will also include LED number lights and cargo hooks (small photo).
The performance damper under development will be mounted on the left side of the chassis, bridging the gap between the engine mount and the frame.
Fully armed with Gailspeed suspension
Gailspeed offers a variety of wheel designs for the CB1000F, but the vehicle in the photo was equipped with Type J wheels, which stand for "Japan Classic" or "Jumonji," featuring a classic double four-spoke design and 6 inches wider at the rear than the stock (5.5 inches).The front calipers are also Gale Speed, and while they are two-piece radial mounts, they too feature a simple 2D machined shape. The rear two-pod calipers are also existing Gale products. The master cylinders and brake discs are also by Gailespeed.
The forged aluminum Type-J wheels from Gail Speed are priced at 276,100 yen for the white/black/gold painted finish and 287,100 yen for the black anodized finish (both priced as a front/rear set), and will go on sale in February 2026.
The anodized version is a "contrast" version with accents added by cutting the spokes. The vehicle photographed is the +55,000 yen
The vehicle in the photo was selected gold from the +55,000 yen optional colors (a total of 14 colors available).
Gale Speed's billet front 4P radial calipers (60,500 yen) are both street-ready and lightweight, and their simple 2D-machined shape makes them a good match for any car model. It is available in two colors, silver and black. The brake discs are also by Gale Speed and are equipped with cross-lock disc rotors with a unique floating method (46,200 yen for each side).
The master cylinder is Gale Speed's VRD forged aluminum master cylinder (52,800 yen). It features a body that allows the driver to enjoy the texture of forging with minimal cutting and a variable lever ratio function.
On the clutch side, a wire clutch holder kit "Dark Edition (49,500 yen)" designed to match the brake master is installed.
Hyper Pro rear shocks are currently under development, as are the front springs.
