"Recently, orders for the Ninja GPZ900R RCM (Radical Construction Manufacture, a complete custom by the store) have been increasing. However, it is becoming more and more difficult to find a good base," says Mr. Nakamura from AC Sanctuary. This model comes with a cowl and offers all-around enjoyment. Yet, it has an abundance of parts available, so there's great joy in customizing it to your preferences. This bike is a recent RCM based on the GPZ900R, and it reflects the current situation of the Ninja.

"The owner had in mind to make modifications to the front and rear suspension. The overall condition of the bike was good. However, there were concerns about abnormal engine noises and white smoke from the exhaust, so we decided to do an overhaul. Aligning with the original order, it became part of the RCM menu, so we proceeded with the complete production. With 17-inch front and rear modern wide tires, it became the RCM Ninja Sports Package New Type-R," he continued. In the past, Type-R models were built by selecting bikes with good engine conditions and low mileage. However, with the introduction of the New Type-R in 2015, measures such as engine overhauls and the use of successor machine-based electronics were implemented. In this case, the electronics were in good condition, saving time and effort, resulting in the completion of a hybrid specification between the old and new Type-R. "The coloring and use of parts faithfully reflect the owner's original order. I think it has a finish that enthusiasts would appreciate," said Mr. Nakamura. In the current market, where used bike prices are increasing, perhaps it is natural that this RCM Ninja, which has been completely redesigned with front and rear 17-inch wheel specifications, is attracting so much attention.

Handle

The stem was changed to a Sculpture Stem Kit TYPE-1 and the handlebars were fitted with bar-type Daytona RCM Concept Bar Handles. The gauges, including a large speedometer and an engine tachometer with a voltmeter inside, remain stock.

The left and right master cylinders are Brembo RCS, and the brake and clutch hoses are Allegri Shorto series, manufactured in lengths to suit the bike.

Bodyworks

The seat is Daytona Cozy Seat RCM Concept. The bright metallic green and black paint job, which utilizes the stock pattern, was done by Paint Shop Okushin.

Engine

The frame is a stock base with a Nitro Racing Combination Kit III (down tube) for a double cradle look and increased rigidity. The engine was big bored from 908 to 958cc with WOSSNER Forged Piston (74.5mm in diameter, 2mm larger than stock), and the crankshaft curve was fixed and balanced before journal wrapping. The valve guides were replaced, the clearance of the transmission dog gear was adjusted, and the exterior was given a heat-resistant Gun-Kote finish. The cooling system was also strengthened with a Nitro Racing Wide Radiator and an Oil Cooler High-mount Kit.

Intake & Exhaust

The carburetor is a black body FCRφ37mm with a green funnel, coordinated with the body color.

Chassis

The front fork is the Ohlins RWU 43mm Sanctuary ExM package, and for the front brake, Brembo Axial P430/34 calipers (black) and Sunstar Premium Racing RCM Concept 320mm Discs are used.

The rear brakes feature Brembo P232 calipers and Sunstar Works Expand Discs. The exhaust system is a Nitro Racing Hand-bent Titanium Exhaust (short tail) with a half-polished finish, and the silencer is a Nitro Racing Grenade Titanium V-3 with a heat-polished finish.

The swingarm is a Sculpture R.C.M. Exclusive Wide Swingarm with Racing Stand Hook Stabilizers, finished in a Gun-Kote. The front and rear wheels are fitted with Forged Aluminum O.Z Racing PIEGA 3.50-17/5.50-17 size.

Ohlins Ninja 17-inch shocks were chosen for the rear shocks.
