TTR MOTORS's APE100

TTR Motors is a shop that deals with many custom and used motorcycles, but for them, the CB-F series, CB1100R, and CBX1000 with an inline 6 engine are their specialties. They produce repair parts and convenient custom parts for these bikes and are also knowledgeable about how to restore them. In our previous article, we introduced their CB1100R-inspired custom based on the GROM, called the Type-R Mini. And this time, we are going to introduce a CB-F style Ape100 custom by a TTR Motors' customer who was inspired by the Type-R Mini.

As you can see, it is a perfect replica of the CB-F overall. The half-cowl and red frame are the same style as the 1981 CB900F2B or CB750FBB. The logo-type "CB100-F BOL D'OR" on the side cover is exactly the same as that of the CB750FBB (displacement designation is slightly different). When you think of the shape of the CB-F's headlight, you would probably recall the square one. However, the actual headlight has a round shape, which is only hidden by a clear cover. When the cover is removed, the round headlight appears. The owner has installed a round headlight for that reason. He recreated these very fine details of CB-F's specs, and the most notable part of his devotion would be his choice of wheel to enhance the "customized CB-F's style", which used to be in fashion. He installed Seven Star Cast wheels. If this bike is placed next to TTR's Type-R Mini, the scale is almost the same. This motorcycle gives a glimpse into the depth of the mini-moto world through its atmosphere.

Bodyworks

The bodyworks, reminiscent of a CB-F, was found and installed by the owner. The well-matched front cowl is from the Honda CBX125F, an air-cooled DOHC 4-valve single-cylinder sport bike from 1984. The double horns and large rectangular blinkers visible underneath also enhance the CB750FBB's style.

Electrical

Two meters by SP Takegawa enhance the CB-F's style. The clip-ons are also for CB-F.

Chassis

Aluminum engine mounts and steps are by G-Craft, and Yoshimura parts, SP Takegawa parts, and other well-known manufacturer's parts were used for the engine. The oil cooler and red cylinder head cover also add to the atmosphere. The CB100-F BOL D'OR letters appear on the side covers.

The suspension is also elaborate. The front and rear wheels are 12-inch Seven Star cast (also found by the owner), painted gold on the spokes and silver on the rims, just like the motif. The front forks are stock with the bottom case painted black.

There are many areas that CB fans will appreciate, such as the frame painted red. The front and rear brake calipers are Brembo (Axial cast calipers P4 at the front and P2 32 at the rear), and the discs are SUNSTAR's Premium Racings. The exhaust is by YOSHIMURA.

On the right is the CB750F BOL D'OR 2 (CB750F2B), a 1981 limited edition model that served as a motif. The close proximity of the two models in terms of atmosphere makes them more exciting to look at side by side.
