The mainstay of the show is the exhaust system.
Cyclone" exhaust systems are the representative custom parts of Yoshimura, and various types of exhaust systems were installed on the vehicles exhibited this time. The most eye-catching were the short-pipe style "Racing Cyclone" installed on the CB1000F and the "B-77 Cyclone" installed on the Monkey 125. Yoshimura Japan's exhaust system know-how and technology, which is based on the design motifs of past Yoshimura exhaust systems while producing the latest performance, is something to keep an eye on in the future.
CB1000F
At this year's Tokyo Motorcycle Show, Honda's CB1000F was the most widely exhibited custom model by many manufacturers. The main stage of Yoshimura Japan's booth was also decorated with a custom CB1000F-based model. The paint job by Woodeye Design was inspired by past Yoshimura racers. The paint job by Woodeye Design was inspired by Yoshimura racers of the past, but succeeded in accentuating the CB's design. The radiator core protector with a large "Yoshimura" logo and "PRO SHIELD" clutch cover and slider are incorporated into the radiator. The Yoshimura spirit is also injected into other small parts such as the brake lever guard, "PRO-GRESS1" temp bolt meter, step kit, and racing option stays.
Monkey125
Monkey125, with its striking red tank, is a replica of the color scheme of the legendary CB72 racer that made POP Yoshimura's name famous throughout Japan. The main feature is the "B-77 Cyclone" exhaust system, which has a silencer based on the "banana tube" motif used on the AMA katana racers of the 1980s. In addition to its impactful style, the exhaust pipe is made of titanium, which is significantly lighter than conventional exhaust systems. The engine is equipped with covers with the Yoshimura emblem engraved around the engine, and although the engine itself is standard, its appearance is reminiscent of a "Yoshimura tune. A "PRO-GRESS1" balance bolt meter, meter visor, steering stem nuts, etc. were installed around the steering wheel, and "X-TREAD" steps were installed. Other features include a fenderless kit, Öhlins twin shocks, and Zeta levers.
GSX-8TT
The GSX-8TT, Suzuki's newest model, has been redesigned by changing the accent colors while retaining the stock graphics, and incorporating various parts made by Yoshimura Japan to enhance performance and quality. The R-11 Sq R Cyclone exhaust system is set with a racy design, and combined with a fenderless kit, the rear area is cleaned up for a sportier look. The handlebar incorporates a brake lever guard and handlebar end High Line, the steering stem nut has been changed, and a "PRO-GRESS1" balance bolt meter is incorporated in the center section to give the cockpit area a sporty look. X-TREAD" steps have been installed to optimize the riding position and improve maneuverability. The engine also incorporates machined aluminum parts such as a "PRO SHIELD" generator cover and pulsar cover, oil filler cap, performance collars for the wheels, and a rear stand bracket.
DR-Z4SM
Suzuki's DR-4SM, the new supermotard model that has been a long time in the making, is another good example of how racy it can be in the hands of Yoshimura Japan. The chassis is tailored in Yoshimura's image colors, and red anodized RK Excel rims tighten up the suspension area. The exhaust system has been changed to a "Slip-On RS-12 Cyclone" with racy carbon fiber ends, and the Yoshimura emblem appears on the heat guard. Zeta handlebars and levers were chosen for the cockpit, which is combined with Yoshimura's master cylinder cap, steering stem nuts, and High Line handlebar ends. The tail cowl is lined with the logos of the parts brands used, and a fenderless kit is incorporated to give the rear end a racer-like appearance.
Z900RS SE
The 2026 Z900RS SE model incorporates the Yoshimura Heritage KIT SPEC1, which pays homage to the colors of the Yoshimura Z1 that competed in the 1976 AMA Superbike Championship. The design is further enhanced by the carbon side covers and front fenders. A fenderless kit was also incorporated to give the tail area a clean look. The exhaust system is a "Slip-On Cyclone" with stock heat guards, and "X-TREAD" steps are installed. Around the engine, "PRO SHIELD" pulsar and generator covers and "Black Oxide" radiator core protectors were incorporated for protection. Around the cockpit, the handlebar clamps, bar ends, brake lever guard, and reservoir tank cap have been replaced with Yoshimura-made parts for a tighter look.
GSX-R1100
Suzuki's GSX-R series is a prime example of Yoshimura tuning, with numerous parts available. The early model GSX-R1100 displayed at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show wore a white cowl instead of the Yoshimura color. The white cowl on this GSX-R is a full cowl assembly (upper, side, under, fender, and headlamp) and seat cowl assembly (integrated tail) released by Yoshimura. It can be used as a replacement for the stock cowl, which is hard to find. The carburetor is Yoshimura's TMR-MJN36, fine-tuned with a new machine tune Cyclone currently under development, and the brakes are reinforced with Brembo 4-pot calipers. Other new products under development include a new step kit, fenderless kit, and oil catch tank, as seen on this vehicle, so GSX-R owners should keep their eyes on Yoshimura in the future.
