Z900 SE (900cc) Owner: Takahiro

In Kawasaki's flagship "Z" series of super naked bikes, the Z900 is the mainstay model in the mid-to-big class, powered by an inline four-cylinder engine. The "SE" grade, in particular, is known for its enhanced riding quality, equipped with high-grade suspension components such as Brembo brake systems and Öhlins rear shocks.

In contrast to the classic style of the Z900RS, the Z900 features an aggressive appearance that embodies the "Sugomi" (awesomeness) design concept. It is also equipped with modern features such as an electronic throttle and riding modes, making it a popular choice among many riders for its ability to deliver handling and power feel that faithfully follows the rider's intentions, from city streets to winding roads.

Takahiro, whom we are featuring today, chose the Kawasaki Z900 SE after comparing it with the CBR650R with E-Clutch, strongly drawn to Kawasaki's design. The fact that it had to be specially ordered from Matsuyama, as there were no units in stock in Kyushu, conveys his immense enthusiasm for this bike. For Takahiro, who pursues sporty riding, the Z900 SE seems to be the ideal partner.

<From the MY BIKE Comment>

■Reason for Purchase, Usage, Compared Models

I considered the CBR650R with E-Clutch, but I was drawn to Kawasaki's design and bought it. There were no units in stock in Kyushu, so it was specially ordered from Matsuyama.

■Strengths

The Kawasaki Z900RS is popular, but this one has the same internals and is sportier! I don't see any other bikes like it on day trips.

■Weaknesses

There are few custom parts. The riding position is a bit tight for my legs, so I'm considering a high seat.

■Advice for Potential Buyers

The SE model is fully equipped and highly satisfying, and the Kawasaki Green tris-frame and wheels are exceptionally cool.

■Future Customization Plans

Fender eliminator. SC Project exhaust.
