Overseas] Honda's New Electric Commuter "Honda UC3" to be Launched in Thailand and Vietnam this Spring! Achieves cruising range of 122km with fixed battery

Honda has announced the Honda UC3, an electric two-wheeled personal commuter in the moped class (displacement 110cc equivalent). The model is equipped with Honda's first fixed LFP battery and will be sequentially launched in Thailand and Vietnam from the spring of 2026 as a model that combines the experience value unique to EVs with high quality and safety. Production began at Thai Honda Automobile in December 2025, and is scheduled to switch to domestic production in Vietnam by the end of 2026.

Fixed LFP battery and wheel-side motors enable a cruising range of 122 km

The most distinctive feature of the Honda UC3 is that it is equipped with Honda's first fixed lithium-ion iron phosphate (LFP) battery for its power source. This is combined with Honda's proprietary wheel-side motors to achieve a maximum output of 6.0 kW. High efficiency has been achieved by optimizing the regenerative control and magnetic circuit structure, and a cruising range of 122 km per charge (certified value in WMTC mode 1 in Thailand) has been achieved. This ensures sufficient practicality as a means of daily transportation. Three driving modes can be selected from "STANDARD," "SPORT," and "ECON," and a reverse mode, which is convenient for parking and turning around, is also provided for easy maneuverability.

In terms of design, the UC3 has a distinctive form with lots of curves from the front to the rear, especially around the tail area with an arched shape. The signature horizontal lights, similar to those of the first electric motorcycle, the Honda WN7, and the color scheme of black with gold accents, express the electric model's unique world view. The charging system is based on the international standard "CHAdeMO for motorcycles. Two types of chargers, 1200W and 450W, are available to suit the environment. When using the 1200W charger, charging from 0 to 100% takes about 4 hours, and from 20 to 80% in about 2 hours. In addition, the recharging infrastructure will be developed in conjunction with the launch of the vehicle. In Thailand, recharging stations will be installed in Bangkok, and in Vietnam, recharging stations will be installed at dealerships in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang to improve convenience.
