The Panigale V4 R is a special model that follows the lineage of homologation models aimed at competing in the Superbike World Championship (SBK), dating back to the 996 R in 2001. It has always embodied the forefront of Ducati's racing technology, positioned as a legendary flagship model that symbolizes Ducati's sports bikes, harmonizing beauty and cutting-edge technology at a high level.

The latest evolution, the new Panigale V4 R, embodies Ducati's glorious racing achievements and history of evolution in MotoGP and SBK. Under the concept "Racing is just the beginning," it pursues ultimate performance starting from technology cultivated in racing. It adopts cutting-edge technologies such as the 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, aerodynamics fed back from MotoGP and SBK, Ducati Racing Gearbox, and Ducati Neutral Lock (DNL). While being a street-legal model with type approval, it has become a unique model that combines overwhelming circuit performance with a pure racing character.

Performance Fusing Advanced Technology and Racing Specifications

With an output of 218ps/15,750rpm and a curb weight under 200kg, its dynamic performance, along with its wings and electronic controls, represent significant advancements.

The new Panigale V4 R is equipped with a 998cc 90° V4 Desmosedici Stradale R engine, producing a maximum output of 218ps at 15,750rpm. The rev limit is 16,500rpm in 6th gear, achieving racing-level performance that exceeds the scope of street-legal models. Furthermore, comprehensive improvements to the intake system, a newly designed camshaft, and the adoption of lighter pistons and a high-inertia crankshaft have enhanced output and torque across all RPM ranges.

The aerodynamics, fed back from the MotoGP machine "Desmosedici GP," achieve reduced air resistance, optimized airflow, improved engine cooling performance, and increased downforce. This provides significant benefits not only when the bike is upright but also during cornering, enhancing stability and performance in all riding situations. The use of carbon fiber components for weight reduction and the brushed aluminum tank maintain a familiar design, but the significantly transformed silhouette gives it a new impression.

Equipped with top-tier electronic controls, including Ducati Vehicle Observer, it boasts controllability that can handle its abundant power.

The electronic control system adopts the latest architecture developed by Ducati Corse. The Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) estimates real-time physical quantities to achieve optimal control according to the riding situation. Cornering ABS, Race Brake Control (RBC), and Engine Brake Control (EBC) work in conjunction to enable high-precision control even at the limit. Electronic control systems such as traction control, wheelie control, and slide control are also integrated, achieving precise behavior control akin to a racing machine.
