BULL DOCK's ZEPHYR1100

Kawasaki Zephyr 1100 by BULL DOCK. This is a fully customized GT-M (Genuine Tuning Machine). The side cover features the characters "ZR1260". According to Mr. Wakui of BULL DOCK, "For this build, the engine has been upgraded to 1260cc with φ80mm forged pistons. The camshaft used is the Yoshimura ST-2."

There are more and more people who love the Zephyr and want to make it a complete custom with good care and consideration, even if it means spending a lot of money to make it just right. The Zephyr 1100 was still a new model not long ago, but the initial model was made in 1992, so it's been over 30 years. It has transitioned from being just a discontinued production model to the realm of classic bikes. Even OEM parts are becoming obsolete. For instance, for the transmission we used to use one from a later model for the second gear, which is the weak point of the earlier model, but we can no longer do so. The same is true for starter motors. Even if just the brushes inside the motor wear out, the replacement has to be an assembly. We have more parts like this, which aren't just consumables but become a source of trouble if you don't have them for overhauling. You could also search for used parts, but that will become increasingly challenging in the future. So, with that in mind, we wanted to supply parts. The original 6-speed cross transmission, which has been selling well, was made with this in mind. With this, we can address the weaknesses of the early model mentioned earlier, and as long as we continue to make them, there will be no supply issues." Mr. Wakui's words are reassuring. He has abundant knowledge in customization. With the necessary parts available, you can enjoy the bike for a long time.

Handle

The cockpit is blacked out, with Brembo radial pumps for the front brake and clutch master cylinders. The throttle is made by ACTIVE, and a Yoshimura Progress Meter has been added to the instrument section. The exterior is fully painted in the air-cooled Z Tiger pattern arrangement.

Bodyworks

The seat is high quality Mccoy Supreme, offering both a comfortable ride and a snug fit. The step is also set up using Mccoy's Zephyr 1100 for positioning.

Engine

The engine with each part covered in a wrinkle-painted finish is equipped with a JB Power φ80mm forged piston to reach 1260cc displacement. It also features Yoshimura ST-2 camshafts. The exhaust system uses the Win Mccoy Full Titanium Exhaust, and the oil pan has been replaced with a flat type to ensure sufficient bank angle along with the exhaust.

Chassis

The front forks are Ohlins φ43mm, and the front brakes are a combination of Brembo 4-piston calipers and Sunstar discs.

The swingarm is a 7N01 aluminum handmade Mccoy, and the rear shock is an Ohlins. The wheels are forged aluminum Lavorante Legenda in 3.50-17/6.00-17 sizes, designed to fit the Zephyr 1100 well.

The rear brake calipers are Brembo CNC 2-piston. Front and rear tires are Bridgestone S22 with sizes [stock values: 120/70-18 and 160/70-17 →] 120/70ZR17 and 190/55ZR17.
