US-Influenced Makeover: Honda DAX125 Custom by SCR_WORKS

SCR_WORKS's DAX125

SCR_WORKS fell in love with the cuteness of the DAX125 and chose it as a demo bike! They transformed the DAX into an old US style by making full use of US parts, even though the DAX is not available for sale in North America. The suspension and wheels can be adapted from those of the Grom and Monkey 125. This machine is faithfully following the style of the past, but at the same time, they have made it into their own machine.

Handle

This original kit combines a Chimera plate and a WOODCRAFT bar, creating a mechanical design while retaining the DAX's originality.

Bodyworks

A one-off mounting base for the tail and plate holder is installed to eliminate the stock rear fender. The tail cowl is also a one-off.

Intake & Exhaust

The Two Brothers Exhaust, popular in US-style customs, has been chosen. The silencer is a universal type, and the exhaust pipe is a one-off high-mount type.

Chassis

The rear is lowered about 12 inches, yet it can ride on the road without any problem. The main difficulty was the internal dimensions of the swingarm, which are different from those of the Grom and Monkey, but a Chimera Billet Rear Hub was used and installed without any modification.

The front 12-inch 4J 3-piece wheel by Chimera Engineers is eye-catching. The "DRAGGER" center disk and the classic round-hole style look great on the DAX. The Racing Bros lowering kit lowers the bike by over 5 inches.
