Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has unveiled its next-generation electric motocrosser, the YE-01 Racing Concept, at the EICMA (Milan Show). This model is being developed jointly with Electric Motion (EM) of France, and is intended to compete in the upcoming MXEP series, an electric motocross category.

Yamaha has set a company-wide goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. In order to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle, we are in the process of developing a variety of technologies, including electrification. Among these, we have positioned motorsports, which is familiar to Off1 readers, as a field for demonstrating new technologies and have achieved a number of technological innovations.
