This project features a "My Bike" from the Webike Community that caught the editorial team's attention. This time, we're featuring the YAMAHA "XTZ125", owned by "Shika".

The Yamaha XTZ125 is a dual-purpose model primarily produced and sold for overseas markets. With its simple and robust body powered by an air-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder engine, it has the maneuverability to run lightly on both paved and unpaved roads. Especially due to its easy-to-handle displacement and lightweight construction, it has long been supported by enthusiastic fans in Japan as a second bike or a companion for forest road touring.

While it's becoming difficult to obtain new models, it encapsulates the "joy of operating machinery" that modern bikes lack, such as the direct engine response unique to the carburetor model and the starting ritual with the kick starter. Its simplicity also makes it highly maintainable, and the ability to enjoy it for a long time by working on it yourself is an appeal that continues to attract many riders.

"Shika", who we are featuring today, affectionately calls the XTZ125 "Carb-chan" and fully enjoys its analog operational feel. Although they considered the 2-stroke TF125, they ultimately chose the XTZ125, acquiring a companion that can handle everything from daily commutes to adventures.
