Suzuki Motor USA announced the first wave of its 2027 motorcycle lineup on July 8, 2026. This includes the debut of the new sport crossover "SV-7GX" series, pricing for the 40th Anniversary "GSX-R1000" commemorative model in North America, and updates to the "RM-Z" motocrosser series.

40th Anniversary "GSX-R1000" and New Crossover "SV-7GX" Arrive

The 40th Anniversary model of the supersport "GSX-R1000" will be available in three specifications: Standard, R, and RS. The 999.8cc inline-four engine has been updated for 2027, achieving more linear torque characteristics. It features Bosch's IMU and the new Smart TLR Control, which links with traction control, for the first time. The top-of-the-line "GSX-R1000RS" will be equipped with carbon winglets derived from the Suzuka 8-Hour endurance race machine.

The new "SV-7GX" and "SV-7GXV" are sport crossover models equipped with the acclaimed 645cc 90-degree V-twin engine. They feature electronic throttle control and Suzuki's Intelligent Ride System (SIRS), along with an upright riding position, adjustable screen, and a 4.2-inch TFT color display. The "SV-7GXV" value model is distinguished by its blacked-out chassis components and refined graphics.

Evolution of the Motocrosser "RM-Z" Series and North American Pricing

Building on Ken Roczen's victory in the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship, Suzuki's RM-Z series receives further enhancements for the 2027 model year. The 2026 motocross competition models, "RM-Z450" and "RM-Z250," are updated for 2027. The RM-Z450 features new KYB front and rear suspension and lighter RK Excel aluminum rims for improved handling.

Furthermore, to commemorate the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship title, an "RM Army Package" will be available, featuring replica graphics and a Pro Circuit muffler. This package includes a limited championship replica graphic kit inspired by Ken Roczen's winning machine and a Pro Circuit T-6 exhaust system.

The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP) for each model in the North American market have also been announced. The GSX-R1000 starts at $16,399 (approximately ¥2,620,000), the SV-7GX starts at $8,599 (approximately ¥1,370,000), and the RM-Z450 starts at $9,699 (approximately ¥1,550,000). Online reservations for the new SV-7GX series and GSX-R1000 series will be accepted from July 8 to July 31, 2026.
