Suzuki Motor USA and Team Hammer enjoyed a brilliant weekend at the MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Notably, in the Twins Cup class, Bodhi Paige (M4 ExciteM1 Suzuki), who had just returned after missing two races due to injury, delivered a superb performance aboard the Suzuki "GSX-8R."

In Saturday's Race 1, Paige skillfully took control of the race with his adept braking technique. He surged into the lead on the final lap's braking zone and crossed the finish line just 0.047 seconds ahead, securing his first career Twins Cup victory. In Sunday's Race 2, he fought hard, taking the lead at the final corner, and finished in a close second place by a mere 0.028 seconds, achieving a remarkable victory and a runner-up finish in his comeback race.

Teammate Matthew Chapin, also on the GSX-8R, engaged in a fierce four-rider battle for fourth place. He secured fourth on Saturday and fifth on Sunday, consistently demonstrating strong performance and accumulating championship points.

In the Supersport class, Tyler Scott (M4 ExciteM1 Suzuki) set a new course record and secured pole position on the "GSX-R750." Although he crashed while battling for the lead on Saturday, finishing 12th, he fought back in Sunday's Race 2, winning a slipstream battle at the finish line to claim a close second-place podium finish.

In the premier Superbike class, Richie Escalante (Mission M4 ExciteM1 Suzuki) finished seventh on Sunday aboard the "GSX-R1000R." His teammate Brandon Paasch overcame machine trouble on Saturday and charged from the back of the grid to finish ninth on Sunday.

Rider Comments After Intense Battles and Outlook for the Next Race

Bodhi Paige, celebrating his first victory, expressed his joy: "My plan was to get a good start and disrupt the rivals' rhythm. The team provided a fantastic bike, allowing me to close the gap in the infield and attack aggressively." Matthew Chapin also shared his confidence: "It was a tough weekend, but I managed consistent lap times. I'm maintaining a good position for the championship."

Tyler Scott, who set a record in Supersport, expressed his gratitude to the team: "The bike felt fantastic throughout the weekend. Thanks to the team's extensive knowledge, we found the setting that allowed me to ride most comfortably. I'm happy to be on the podium at Road America."

Escalante from the Superbike class looked ahead: "I lost the front and crashed on Saturday, but I did my best in a tough situation on Sunday. The next circuit suits us well, so I'll be aiming for the podium and a win." Paasch, who charged from the back, stated: "It was a tough race after going off track, but I made the most of the situation to score points. I want to carry this experience forward."

The next round of MotoAmerica is scheduled to take place from June 26th to 28th at Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington.
