Equipped with a 946.2cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, the 1000MT-X combines the power of the liter class with the nimble handling of a mid-size bike. The low-mounted 22.5-liter fuel tank not only significantly lowers the vehicle's center of gravity, but also serves to keep the top of the vehicle slim, resulting in a compact chassis configuration. This allows for an extremely smooth transition to a standing position when off-roading, while the 21-inch front and 18-inch rear aluminum spoked wheels and standard Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires provide high performance on both paved roads and rough dirt roads.
