OGK Kabuto will add the signature model "F-17 Mips JOAN MIR-2" of MotoGP rider Joan Mir to its flagship helmet "F-17", and will release it in limited quantities around late September 2026. The price is 73,000 yen (tax included).
Design Fusing the Nature of Mallorca with the Speed of MotoGP
The "JOAN MIR-2" being added this time is a signature model that reproduces the latest graphics used by Joan Mir in the 2026 season. It features fluorescent yellow as the base color, with orange and black racing lines.
The design incorporates a shadow leaf pattern inspired by the rich nature of Mallorca, Mir's hometown. The company explains that it is a design that fuses the vitality of the Mediterranean with the speed of MotoGP, and sharp monotone accents express the rider's strength.
The base model, "F-17", is a racing specification model with "Omni-directional Aerodynamics" as its main concept. It incorporates aerodynamic technology that controls airflow around the helmet during riding using aerodynamic devices, reducing the load on the rider.
It also features the "Mips safety system", a technology that prevents rotational motion generated from angled impacts to the head from being transmitted to the brain. It uses the same system as that used by Joan Mir, achieving both design and safety.
The "F-17 Mips JOAN MIR-2" is priced at 73,000 yen (tax included) and is scheduled to be released in limited quantities around late September 2026. It will be available in one color: yellow orange. Six sizes are available, from XS to XXL. It is certified by JIS and MFJ. This will be an interesting model for MotoGP fans.
