RS TAICHI has released the "TRV106|NEX AIR SEPARATE CHEST PROTECTOR," a new separate type, to its air-through chest protector "NEX AIR" series. The price including tax is 6930 yen.
Separate Structure for Smoother Jacket On and Off
RS TAICHI has added the "TRV106|NEX AIR SEPARATE CHEST PROTECTOR," a new separate type, to its "NEX AIR" series of air-through chest protectors, which are lightweight, thin, and highly breathable.
According to the company, it was developed in response to rider feedback such as "It's a hassle to remove the protector every time I put on or take off my jacket" and "I want to put it on and take it off more smoothly." The adoption of a structure divided into left and right parts makes movements smoother when putting on and taking off the jacket.
When attached to a jacket compatible with the company's CPS (Chest Protector System), it reduces the hassle of unfastening buttons each time the jacket is put on or taken off after initial installation. This design considers everyday usability.
As a basic performance feature, large-diameter ventilation holes are placed throughout the protector. By efficiently taking in riding wind, it is said to comfortably support riding even in hot weather.
Furthermore, it uses lightweight polypropylene resin and a honeycomb core structure, achieving both lightness and high rigidity. In terms of protection performance, it clears the CE Lv.2 (EN1621-3 Level 2) safety standard for chest protectors.
The price of the "TRV106|NEX AIR SEPARATE CHEST PROTECTOR" is 6930 yen. It is available only in black and in ONE SIZE. The weight is approximately 245g. The conventional one-piece type "TRV091|NEX AIR CHEST PROTECTOR" (5940 yen) will continue to be available. It is likely to be a useful item for making everyday riding more comfortable.
