The handlebar weights, first released in 2006 by PROT's original brand "EFFEX," have been a long-selling product with cumulative sales exceeding 70,000 sets. Now, this popular item has been completely revamped in design and materials, reborn as "VIBEX."

EFFEX is a motorcycle position adjustment brand born with the concept of "Minimum, Maximum Effect." It offers model-specific Easy Fit Handlebars, lowering kits, and Gel-ZABU seat cushions to reduce fatigue, supporting the "peace of mind, safety, and comfort" of a wide range of riders, from beginners to veterans. Among these, the handlebar weights were developed by focusing on the handlebars, a crucial contact point between the rider and the motorcycle.

The new product name, VIBEX, is inspired by the idea that "X" (representing the unknown) enables the maximum effect of "Vibration" reduction. This product reduces unpleasant vibrations transmitted from the engine and road surface through its unique balancer structure, alleviating hand numbness and fatigue. In this renewal, the balancer structure, including mass and materials, has been fundamentally reviewed, successfully enhancing the dynamic damper effect, including the bar end part.

The exterior design has also evolved significantly. The bar end part features an "Ultimate Black Color" with an ion plating treatment, creating a chic and luxurious texture. Furthermore, by combining it with interchangeable sleeve parts available in accent colors, it allows for color coordination that stylishly enhances the motorcycle's handlebar area.

Two types with different weights and 7 color variations available

The product lineup includes two design types to choose from according to your riding style and preferences. The "GT (Grand Touring)" type, weighing 250g, offers high vibration suppression effects, while the "ST (Sport Touring)" type, weighing 102g, suppresses vibrations while maintaining light handling.

Both types are available for "inner diameter φ14" and "inner diameter φ18-19" to match the handlebar's inner diameter, making them compatible with a wide range of models. The color variations include a total of 7 colors for the accent part, to be combined with the main black bar end: Black, Gold, Silver, Titanium, Red, Blue, and Gunmetal. This allows for the optimal choice according to your motorcycle's color scheme and customization direction.

The release is scheduled for mid-July 2026, with prices set at 10,450 yen (tax included) for the GT type and 9,900 yen (tax included) for the ST type. This is a custom part that riders looking to improve comfort on long-distance tours should not miss.
