It can also run at high speeds with a 125 vehicle rating! First light motorcycle class in the series
The "XSR155," which Yamaha unveiled at the MC Show this spring, is a new model in the XSR series that blends a retro appearance with performance. It shares the same compact silhouette as the "XSR125," but its liquid-cooled, VVA (variable valve) 155cc engine delivers 19 PS at 10,000 rpm. This is the first "light motorcycle class" model in the series lineup that can also be ridden on highways. The "Neo Retro" identity of the XSR series is inherited, based on the concept of "fashionable" and "fun to ride. The new XSR series is equipped with a 155cc engine that is nimble and easy to handle, and offers a high level of convenience that is unique to the light motorcycle class, allowing the rider to travel farther with a sense of spaciousness.

XSR155 (2026)The 155cc "light motorcycle" XSR, which was part of the overseas lineup, has finally arrived in Japan.

The retro and luxury details are inherited from the 125, but the spacious driving performance is appealing.
The famous "RZ" color is a surprise appearance! The strobe exterior will also be made commercially available!
Along with the announcement of the XSR155's production launch, Yamaha also announced a three-color lineup. The green and silver colors were unveiled at the MC Show, but the new "black" color with a gold pinstripe has made its debut. This color was used on Yamaha's legendary 1980 RZ250. This is a color that is sure to attract the attention of heritage riders.

The third color that made a surprise appearance at the launch was a color familiar to Yamaha fans, "Black and Gold."

The original color was, of course, the "RZ250", the color used on its early model introduced in 1980.

The "US Intercolor" exterior kit displayed at the MC show will also be available. This kit can also achieve the iconic retro color.

At the media launch event, a custom vehicle was also displayed in collaboration with the "HAPPY OUTSIDE BEAMS" brand and project developed by the fashion brand BEAMS. The XSR155 has been customized in an outdoor and camping style, in keeping with the brand's lifestyle proposal based on the theme of "outdoor fun. There are no plans to release this vehicle or its parts, but the simple-looking XSR155 is a perfect base for customization!
