I am 153cm tall and tried the new Daytona DS-001+ thick-soled boots, which have a great fit to the step and excellent footing!

Daytona's new thick-soled boots "DS-001+" were recently released. As a Honda CBR600RR rider (height 153cm), I was interested in thick-soled boots because I was having trouble with my footing. My CBR600RR is lowered but the seat height is 805mm. I tried wearing Daytona "Derby Ride Boots" and thick-soled shoes made by an apparel maker, but my footing was not the best. ...... I could not say that I had the best footing. However, I was surprised to find that the new DS-001+ thick-soled boots I tried on this time gave me the best ground feel of all the boots I have tried so far. Many SS riders choose boots based on sole thickness to improve their footing, but there are many disadvantages to thick soles. They may not be able to step on the step firmly, or they may not be able to put their foot on the shift pedal. The DS-001+, however, has an ingenious heel structure, with a diagonally cut shape that fits the step on the vehicle body perfectly. This is quite impressive. Thanks to this diagonal cut, there is no snagging when lowering the foot from the step, and getting in and out is smooth. I like these boots very much.

The 33-millimeter-thick sole offers both footing and shifting operation.

The DS-001+ is the existing DS-001 model with a specially developed extra-thick sole. The DS-001+ was created under the supervision of Max Fritz, a well-known brand of riding apparel that combines performance and design. The extra-thick sole has a maximum 33 mm thick sole, but the sole is not merely thicker; the thickness is delicately designed for each part of the sole, such as the step, shift pedal, and ground contact points when walking. This is the reason for the high sense of stability when riding. Despite the thick sole, the shifting operation is smooth and easy to drive! In addition, the combination of a slim silhouette (equivalent to an E size) and thick soles skillfully produces the sense of heaviness characteristic of leather boots, so there is no cheap vibe at all, and it is a pleasure to wear them and feel the atmosphere just by wearing them. The versatile design, which suits both SS like my CBR and classic bikes, is another reason why I can recommend them to a wide variety of people.

The details are also flawless! Aged cowhide leather and comfortable on/off functionality go hand in hand.

Of course, the sole is not the only good thing about the DS-001+. The material used for the sole is carefully selected full-grain leather with a thickness of 2 mm or more, which is the highest quality cowhide in Daytona's footwear lineup. The leather is made of oil pull-up leather, which is infused with more oil than ordinary oil leather, making it more flexible and durable. The more the leather is used, the more it develops a texture, and the more the leather is worn, the more it ages and ages. The construction is a lace-up short boot with 4 holes and 4 hooks, and the shift pad and ankle pads are standard equipment, which can only be found in motorcycle-specific products that take safety into consideration. In addition, cushions placed at the footwear opening effectively reduce rubbing against the foot, so they do not hurt even after long hours of riding. The side zippers, which are easy to put on and take off, are guarded exclusively for this purpose, so there is no need to worry about damaging your valuable bike. It should be noted that the product is not waterproof. This is my impression of the new Daytona DS-001+ and its features. If you are a small rider like me, but ride a large SS, or want to! Or, I want to ride a large SS! I can recommend these boots without any complaints to riders like me who are small but ride large SSs or want to!
