In a newsletter for the press, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. introduces the values of the modern age as revealed by the popularity of the new color of the "YZF-R3/25," whose sales volume exceeded 190% compared to the previous year, boosted by the strong sales of the matte pearl white color. Mari Mizokoshi of the Product Design Department, who was in charge of planning the color scheme for the YZF-R3 and YZF-R25, came up with the concept: "There is no such thing as an average star. A Neo Speedster that stands out with its overwhelming individuality. This may have triggered some kind of chemical reaction...
The initial assumption was for beginner riders of the "Generation Z".
The combination of blue and white polarized colors gives a completely different look depending on the light reflected and the time of day. What we aimed for was an overwhelming individuality that would make people fall in love with the product at first sight. I am surprised and pleased that this high-impact individuality has been accepted by people of all ages. says Ms. Mari Mizokoshi of our Product Design Department. She was in charge of planning the coloring for the YZF-R3 and YZF-R25, both of which are selling well, and feels that she is up to the challenge.

The matte pearl white of the YZF-R3/25 is boldly clad in two polarizing colors. Even the details of the logo graphic are subtly designed.

Aiming for "an impact that grabs the eye at first glance," we pursued combinations with color samples in hand
Broad support" regardless of experience or gender
The YZF-R3/R25 is available in a total of three color variations. Of these, blue, which expresses the Yamaha racing spirit, and matte dark gray, which matches any attire, are the standard lineup of the series. In addition to these colors, a "third color" has been planned for the body color, with the mission of developing a new customer base and proposing a new world view. Mizokoshi says, "What was a surprise to me was that more than half of the buyers chose Matte Pearl White, not only from Generation Z, our intended target, but also from people in their 40s, 50s, and even 60s, regardless of their motorcycle careers or gender. The unprecedented CMFG design "may be causing some kind of chemical reaction," he said, adding that he would like to analyze this again.

Ms. Mari Mizokoshi of Design Planning says, "There has been a subtle change in the values of the Z generation."
