This feature highlights a bike that caught our attention from the MY BIKES posted on the Webike Community. This time, we're featuring the KAWASAKI "Z900 SE," owned by "Takahiro."
Z900 SE (900cc) Owner: Takahiro
In Kawasaki's proud "Z" series of super naked bikes, the Z900 is the flagship model in the mid-to-big class, powered by an inline four-cylinder engine. The "SE" grade, in particular, is known for its enhanced riding quality, equipped with high-grade suspension components such as Brembo brake systems and Öhlins rear shocks.
In contrast to the classic style of the Z900RS, the Z900 features an aggressive appearance that embodies the "Sugomi" design concept. It also boasts modern features like electronic throttle control and riding modes, making it a popular choice among riders for its faithful handling and power delivery, whether on the street or on winding roads.
Takahiro, the owner featured today, chose the Z900 SE after considering it alongside the CBR650R with E-Clutch, ultimately being strongly drawn to Kawasaki's design. The fact that there were no units in stock in Kyushu and it had to be sourced from Matsuyama, far away, conveys his exceptional enthusiasm for this motorcycle. For Takahiro, who pursues sporty riding, the Z900 SE appears to be the ideal partner.
■ Reason for Purchase / Usage / Compared Models
I compared it with the CBR650R with E-Clutch, but I was drawn to Kawasaki's design and purchased it. There were no units in stock in Kyushu, so it had to be ordered from Matsuyama.
■ Strengths
While the Z900RS is popular for Kawasaki, this model is sportier even with the same internal components! I don't encounter the same bike on day trips.
■ Weaknesses
There are few custom parts. The angle of my legs is tight due to the riding position, so I'm considering a high seat.
■ Advice for Potential Buyers
The SE model is highly satisfying in its fully equipped state, and the Kawasaki green tris-frame and wheels are exceptionally cool.
■ Future Customization Plans
Fender eliminator. SC Project exhaust.
