In this series, our editorial team selects one “MY Bike” post from the Webike Community to feature. This time, we’re spotlighting the Yamaha “Tricity 155,” owned by “Taguchinpou.”

Tricity 155 (155cc) Owner: Tagu Chinpō

The Yamaha Tricity 155 is a three-wheeled scooter featuring the LMW (Leaning Multi-Wheel) mechanism that debuted in 2015.With two front wheels, it combines stability unmatched by conventional scooters with natural cornering performance achieved through leaning. In particular, its high riding stability provides peace of mind on highways—where wind can be a factor—and on roads with poor surface conditions.

Furthermore, the 155cc liquid-cooled engine delivers both ample power and excellent fuel efficiency, making it suitable for a wide range of uses—from commuting to school or work to short touring trips. The Tricity 155’s appeal lies in its convenience as a scooter combined with the superior handling performance provided by its innovative LMW system.

Taguchinbo chose the Tricity 155 because they were looking for a trike-style vehicle they could ride without a motorcycle license. They were drawn to its design and are satisfied with how little it wobbles, even in strong winds. On the other hand, she seems to be having a bit of trouble maneuvering the bike when leaning it over. However, overall, she highly values this bike’s riding stability and design, and is considering upgrading to a larger front tire as part of her future customization plans. From the editorial team’s perspective, it’s clear that she is thoroughly enjoying the thrill of this new mode of transportation.
