For this year's event, the number of entries has been greatly expanded to 14,000, the largest number ever, in order to welcome even more participants. In addition, the number of weekday race days has been greatly expanded to alleviate the congestion that tends to occur on weekends and to stimulate the local economy. A new system called the "designated weekday system" has been introduced to improve convenience for riders by allowing them to select and fix a weekday to run at their convenience. The event will run for one week from May 23 to May 31, 2026, but the actual dates available for running are through May 30. On May 31, the final day of the event, only the event at the finish line is scheduled, and no entries will be accepted. Please note that prior membership registration is required to apply at the entry counter, and once the number of applicants reaches the maximum number, the registration will be closed.

The unique rules of the event call for crossing the archipelago at sunrise and reaching the goal at the Senrihama Nagisa Driveway.

The most significant feature of this event is its unique riding format, in which riders start at sunrise at any beach on the eastern side of the Japanese archipelago and arrive at the Senrihama Nagisa Driveway in Hakui, Ishikawa Prefecture, by sunset on that day. Participating riders decide their own route from the starting point to the goal, stopping at designated roadside stations, highway parking areas, and service areas. Along the way, riders earn points for each stop using an original GPS system, and riders must collect a total of at least 15 points to reach the goal. The riders themselves plan all elements of the event, including when to participate, where to start, and what route to follow. They are not competing against each other in terms of technique or arrival order, but rather in terms of the personal goals they have set for their motorcycles. The enthusiastic support and cooperation of local residents, government agencies, and various businesses in meeting the challenges of each participant is one of the most appealing aspects of this event. The stage for this grand adventure is about to be set once again, with participants starting from coasts across the country on opposite sides of the Sea of Japan after sunrise and arriving at Senrihama Beach in Ishikawa Prefecture by sunset.
