Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has developed two models of electric scooters: the AEROX E, an electric sports scooter developed in-house, and the EC-06, an electric scooter developed in collaboration with River Mobility Private Limited (Headquarters: Karnataka, India), India in November 2025.

The "AEROX E" electric sports scooter is one of the high value-added models in line with the premium strategy in ASEAN and emerging countries set forth in the mid-term management plan. The "AEROX E" is an electric model that delivers the sporty Yamaha-like riding feel and design of the gasoline engine model "AEROX 155," which has already been well received in the Indian market.With this model, Yamaha aims to build a premium image in the Indian market in the EV domain as well, and production will be handled by India Yamaha Motor Pvt.
Electric scooter "EC-06
The "EC-06" electric scooter is a model developed for a wider customer base based onRiver's production model, and features a design that looks stylish and cool for active everyday riding.Yamaha invested in River in January 2024, and is currently studying ways to collaborate with River in the EV business in the Indian market, and the "EC-06" will be the first product based on this collaboration.Yamaha has also set a company-wide environmental goal of reducing carbon neutrality in Scope 3* Category 11 "emissions from product use" by 2050 through a multi-pathway policy, and the introduction of the "AEROX E" and "EC-06" to the Indian market is one of Yamaha's efforts to achieve this company-wide environmental goal.
