[New Product] Daytona's "WIDE/REST Highback Chair" Arrives! A Compact Highback Model That Fits on Your Motorcycle

Daytona has announced the "WIDE/REST High Back Chair," a foldable outdoor chair designed for motorcycle luggage. Based on the company's existing model, this new chair features a higher backrest and a structure optimized for portability. Pre-orders will begin via crowdfunding in late August 2026, with general sales scheduled for around November. The price is set at 15,400 yen.

High Back Support Meets Motorcycle Luggage Size Compatibility

Daytona OUTDOORS, Daytona's outdoor brand, is releasing the new "WIDE/REST High Back Chair," a foldable chair. This product is an extended backrest version of the existing "WIDE/REST Chair." It features a high-back structure that supports the head, while also being designed to fit within the width of a motorcycle seat bag. The brand promotes a "46 Concept" development standard, aiming for products that fit within a 46cm wide seat bag, and this chair's packed dimensions are kept to approximately 46cm in width.

To enhance comfort, it includes a "custom pillow" function. By filling the included pillowcase with your own towels or clothing, you can achieve compact storage without carrying bulky cushions, while still enjoying ultimate relaxation. The seat width has been expanded by approximately 7cm compared to the previous model, allowing for comfortable seating even when wearing thicker clothing. The seat height is set at 45cm, and the tension has been adjusted to prevent excessive sinking, ensuring smooth transitions when sitting down or standing up.

Armrests, Drink Holders, Durability, and Product Specifications

This product comes standard with armrests on both sides, which are often omitted on lightweight, compact outdoor chairs. The armrests allow for minor position adjustments via straps and feature drink holders on both the left and right sides. The storage bag is equipped with PALS webbing and a carabiner, allowing it to be attached to the chair's legs during use as a small item holder. The frame is made of high-strength A7075 super duralumin, ensuring a static load capacity of 120kg.

Available in two colors, Black and Forest Khaki, the chair weighs approximately 2.0kg. Its dimensions when unfolded are 73cm (depth) x 95cm (height) x 62cm (width), and when stored, they are approximately 46cm x 16cm x 14cm. The general retail price is 15,400 yen (tax included). An early bird sale (starting from 11,550 yen) will be held on the crowdfunding site "Makuake" from late August to early October 2026, with general sales expected around November.
