[New Model] BSA "Bantam 350" to be released on 10/1 for 698,500 yen: The legendary brand begins its landing with a 350cc big single

Wingfoot will release the new British BSA modern classic "Bantam 350" in Japan on October 1, 2026. The price is 698,500 yen (tax included). With the addition of the new Mist Green color, a total of 6 colors are now available.

334cc liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine inheriting the spirit of the original Bantam D1

A new generation of BSA that inherits the spirit of the original 1948 "Bantam D1". It incorporates BSA-like design elements throughout, such as a round headlight and a teardrop-shaped tank.

The Bantam 350 is a model officially announced by BSA at an international launch event in July 2025. While inheriting the "simplicity" and "freedom to enjoy motorcycling" of the original "Bantam D1" that appeared in 1948, it has been reborn not as a mere reproduction, but as a modern classic tailored to contemporary motorcycling. It features a round headlight, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a classic rear fender, and twin-shock rear suspension.

The engine is a 334cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke single-cylinder DOHC, delivering a maximum output of 29BHP/7,750rpm and a maximum torque of 29.62N·m/6,000rpm. Combined with a 6-speed transmission, it has a character that handles everything from ease of use in the city to touring in the suburbs. This engine is the same unit used in JAWA and Yezdi, which are developed by Classic Legends alongside BSA.

The brakes feature 320mm discs at the front and 240mm discs at the rear, with ABS as standard equipment. The suspension consists of telescopic hydraulic forks with 135mm of travel at the front and 5-way adjustable twin shocks at the rear. The wheels are 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. The vehicle weight is 185kg, seat height is 800mm, fuel tank capacity is 13L, and the wheelbase is 1,440mm.

The price is 698,500 yen (tax included), and the warranty is 24 months or 24,000km. The price at the time of the UK announcement in 2025 was 3,499 pounds (approximately 690,000 yen at the exchange rate at the time), which is at almost the same level in Japan. Wingfoot has been selling the "Gold Star 650" in Japan since the spring of 2025, and the Bantam 350 is listed on the official domestic website alongside the Gold Star 650 and Scrambler 650. The Bantam 350 is the only BSA that can be ridden with a standard motorcycle license.

There are 6 colors in total, including the newly added Mist Green. All feature the "BSA" logo on the fuel tank and the "BANTAM 350" logo on the side covers, with different tank paint schemes for each color. Among these, Avalon Grey is available by order only.
