Suzuki has announced the latest model of its dedicated motocross competition vehicle, the "RM-Z450." With improvements primarily focused on the suspension, the aim is for even greater success in the competition scene.
Front and Rear Suspension Converted from SHOWA to KYB
For the 2027 model of the RM-Z450, a motocrosser equipped with a 449cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, the internal structure of the muffler has been revised to comply with FIM noise regulations, optimizing not only the sound volume but also the output and riding feel. The intake system features a more linear shape for the outlet tube, improving intake efficiency.
Furthermore, in terms of suspension, the front forks and rear shock absorbers, which were SHOWA in the 2026 model, have both been changed to KYB components. The rigidity of the front fork brackets has also been optimized, and the wheel rims have been changed. The coloring is available in one color, Champion Yellow No. 2, with a price of 1,098,000 yen. The release date is December 21, 2026. (Not street legal or registrable)
