Trackhouse Racing MotoGP Team has announced the signing of Italian rider Enea Bastianini to a two-year contract starting from the 2027 season. He will form the team's rider lineup alongside Raul Fernandez, who has already renewed his contract with the team.
Bastianini, nicknamed "The Beast," brings multiple Grand Prix victories and extensive experience to the American team. Bastianini made his debut in the Moto3 class in 2014 and won the Moto2 World Championship in 2020. Upon moving up to the MotoGP class in 2021, he reached the podium three times in his debut year, and in 2022, he achieved four wins in the season, including his first victory at the opening round in Qatar, finishing third in the World Championship.
Although his progress was hampered by an injury early in the 2023 season, he made a comeback in 2024, securing nine podium finishes (two race wins and one sprint race win) and finishing fourth overall in the championship.
Bastianini is scheduled to join the team at the preseason test held in Valencia after the end of the 2026 season and will begin testing the Aprilia RS-GP prototype.
Looking ahead to his new challenge, Bastianini expressed his excitement for the new era, which will see the introduction of a new bike, tires, and new regulations. He has shown his determination to bring his experience and fighting spirit to the team and to develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together.
Justin Marks, owner of Trackhouse Entertainment Group, stated that Bastianini's racing achievements and experience in the premier class present an ideal scenario for the team. He praised Bastianini's positive attitude and personality, and clarified his commitment to pursuing results alongside Fernandez and the team staff.
