Michelin Tire Japan will launch its new generation multipurpose tire for motorcycles, the Michelin Anarchy Adventure 2, on January 21, 2026. Compared to the previous model, the new tire offers 10% more grip on wet surfaces and 14% more durability. Driving noise has also been significantly reduced due to an optimized tread pattern, providing a high level of security and comfort regardless of weather or road surface.

Significantly improved wet performance and durability

The Michelin Anarchy Adventure 2 is a multi-purpose tire developed for 80% on-road and 20% off-road use. The most significant feature of this tire is that its basic performance has been significantly improved from the previous model, which had an established reputation. Specifically, in in-house testing on a BMW R1250GS, grip on wet road surfaces was improved by 10%. In addition, durability was increased by 14% due to the long-life design of the tire's central section. The result is a tire that provides greater peace of mind and economic efficiency on long touring trips in changing weather conditions and under extreme conditions.

The latest technology combines comfort with a desire to own.

In terms of functionality, the new model features Michelin's unique "2CT Technology. This technology uses two different compounds containing silica, with the center portion, which is prone to wear, designed to have a longer life, and the side portion designed to provide superior grip when cornering. In addition, ARAMID SHIELD technology helps reduce tread lift caused by centrifugal force at high speeds, contributing to a reduction in tire weight. Improved comfort is another noteworthy feature. The optimized tread pattern significantly reduces noise while driving, and by suppressing exterior noise, the tires provide a less tiring environment even after long rides. In addition, the sidewalls are treated with a special velvet-like finish called "Michelin Premium Touch" on all sizes. The high-end visuals, with the logo prominently displayed, not only add to the functionality, but also give the adventure model a stylish look underfoot. The product is available in a total of nine sizes (five front and four rear) at an open price. The product, which balances high stability on paved surfaces with flexible maneuverability on unpaved surfaces at a high level, will support riders in a wide range of situations, from everyday riding to adventures in uncharted terrain.
