Forza (250cc) Owner: Gilbit Ripio

Honda's Forza has been a highly supported model in the 250cc scooter category for many years. As a grand scooter that combines sophisticated design, comfortable riding performance, and a spacious riding experience, it is active in a wide range of uses, from commuting to long-distance touring. In particular, the current model is equipped with advanced features that reduce rider burden, such as an electrically adjustable screen, smart key system, and traction control, which greatly contribute to reducing fatigue during long-distance travel.

Gilbit Ripio, whom we are featuring today, chose the Forza as a partner to enjoy touring more comfortably, despite having physical ailments. The fact that they carefully selected the one that best matched their physique and preferences after test rides of rival models shows the discerning eye of a rider who has been involved with motorcycles for a long time. We look forward to seeing what kind of scenery they will explore with their beloved bike, named "Meteor."

Motivation for Purchase, Usage, and Comparison Models

"I'm a 'Showa-era old man with tenosynovitis'," but my symptoms worsened, and I started experiencing knee pain as well. Touring, which should be fun, often felt like a penance, so I decided to introduce this bike after considering ways to reduce the suffering, including on expressways. I tested the Forza and XMAX on rental bikes to check their riding feel and usability, and decided on the Forza. Delivery might be tight, possibly not making it for the September holiday weekend.

Strengths

My impression was that it had "low vibration, responded faithfully to the rider's demands, and had a decent ride quality." While the Forza and XMAX gave me a draw in terms of overall impression, the Forza had a slight edge due to my preference for "foot grounding and seat comfort."

Weaknesses

Since my main use is touring, I felt the XMAX had a slight edge in "running stability on rough roads," which I prioritized. However, in today's world where touring often involves traffic jams, the ease of foot grounding and whether the seat comfort suits my preference are very important factors, which strongly motivated me to choose the Forza. Incidentally, both bikes are equipped with "electric screens," but I felt their usability and perceived effect were a draw. This impression will likely change depending on "height and physique." The drawback is that it's "larger, heavier, and more expensive" than the "150 class," but this might not be a true drawback as it depends on the "field of use for the owner." Incidentally, I am based in "Sapporo, Hokkaido," and I chose this bike.

Advice for Potential Buyers

Both the Forza and XMAX are large, heavy, and have poor foot grounding for the "light motorcycle class," so it's best to carefully consider "in what situations you will use this bike" before choosing.

Future Customization Plans

I have already requested the installation of "ETC and grip heaters" at the time of purchase contract. I am currently considering how to install a "top case stay & plate."
