Ducati Lenovo Team's Francesco Bagnaia to leave at the end of the 2026 season

Ducati Corse has officially announced that Francesco Bagnaia, the two-time MotoGP World Champion, will be leaving the team at the end of the 2026 season. This marks the end of an eight-year partnership.

Eight Years of Building Ducati's Golden Era

Francesco Bagnaia spent a total of eight seasons with the Ducati Lenovo Team, bringing the rider's title to the manufacturer in 2022, the first since Casey Stoner in 2007. This partnership has played an extremely important role in Ducati's history.

Bagnaia holds the record for the most wins by a Ducati rider, with a total of 31 victories as a factory rider for the Italian manufacturer. He has also achieved an impressive 62 podium finishes and 28 pole positions, making him the key figure who led Ducati's Desmosedici GP back to the pinnacle of MotoGP.

Management Expresses Respect and Gratitude for Bagnaia

Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati Motor Holding, praised Bagnaia, stating, "He is a champion who is a role model both on and off the track, and one of the most important protagonists in Ducati's history." He also expressed confidence in Bagnaia's commitment to giving his all until the end of the season.

Luigi Dall'Igna, General Manager of Ducati Corse, commented, "We discovered his talent at a young age and built this project together. I am grateful for the mature and trusting relationship we have built." Both expressed their intention to fight together until the very end to conclude the remaining season with the best possible results.
