Crafting the '90s Vibe: Kawasaki Z900RS Custom by PLOT

PLOT's Z900RS

PLOT handles a wide variety of motorcycle parts, ranging from its own EFFEX brand to Brembo brake parts and Nojima Engineering exhausts. There was a time when skilled builders used to customize models such as the Z, GPz-R, and Zephyr to achieve power and characteristics that were competitive with the latest production models.

This Z900RS is an attempt to recreate the vibe of that era, capturing the custom taste of the '90s. Compared to that time, the feel and performance of each part have improved. By focusing on these features, the performance of the Z900RS has been elevated. Various practical improvements are incorporated throughout, such as dressing the exterior with a Doremi Collection Z1 Style Exterior Set, using OVER products for the swingarm and subframe, and adopting a Marunao + GEL-ZABU seat. It is truly a bike that demonstrates PLOT's broad range of parts and understanding of each individual part.

Handle

The front master mounted on the PLOT EFFEX Easy Fit bar is a Brembo RCS Corsa Corta. The lever pins have been replaced with β Titanium 64 Titanium. The mirrors are LSL.

Bodyworks

The seat is made by Marunao Custom Seats, reproducing the shape of the '90s. Inside the seat is PLOT's popular GEL-ZABU S/SS, which reduces stress on the buttocks. The Z1 Style Exterior, the Tail Cowl, and the Inner Tank are made by Doremi Collection.

Engine

The Radiator Core Guard is by ofa/Titanium Power. The rest of the engine/frame area is mostly stock, with the addition of an OVER Subframe.

Intake & Exhaust

The GT Hand-Bent DLC Titanium Full Exhaust is manufactured by Nojima Engineering. The silencer has a cylindrical shape reminiscent of the time, and it is finished with a modern DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating.

Chassis

The front caliper is the Brembo GP4-RB with a billet body, and the disc is enlarged by 20mm in diameter with a Brembo φ320. The original caliper relocation collars/bolts are used for the installation. The wheels are GALE SPEED Type-N.

The step kit is made by Woodstock and the swingarm is made by OVER. The rear suspension link is equipped with EFFEX's 20mm lowering type.
