The rider lineups for the 2027 MotoGP season are being finalized one after another. Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta will join Ducati, while Jorge Martin and Ai Ogura will be at Yamaha, revealing a lineup that signals the dawn of a new era.
Major Factory Team Lineups Confirmed
The Ducati Lenovo Team has extended its contract with reigning world champion Marc Marquez until 2028. Pedro Acosta, moving from KTM, will join as his teammate, forming a formidable partnership.
Aprilia Racing has signed Marco Bezzecchi to a multi-year contract and Francesco Bagnaia to a four-year deal. Meanwhile, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP has announced the departures of Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins. As their replacements, they will welcome 2024 champion Jorge Martin and Japanese rider Ai Ogura on contracts running until 2028.
Unconfirmed Team Movements and Future Points of Interest
While Johann Zarco's continuation with Honda LCR is confirmed, the other seat remains unannounced. Gresini Racing, VR46 Racing Team, Trackhouse MotoGP, the KTM camp, and Pramac Yamaha have not yet disclosed their rider lineups for 2027 and beyond.
At Honda HRC, Alberto Puig will step down from his role as Team Manager to become an advisor. Mikihiko Kawase is scheduled to take over as his successor. Updates on the movements of each team are expected to be released sequentially.
