The MotoGP Group and all 11 teams have signed an agreement regarding their participation in the FIM MotoGP World Championship from 2027 to 2031. This, following the agreement with the manufacturers, completes the governance and commercial framework for the next regulatory period.
Establishment of Long-Term Participation and New Governance
The 11 teams that have reached this agreement are: Aprilia Racing, BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP, Ducati Lenovo Team, Honda HRC Castrol, LCR Honda, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, Red Bull KTM Tech3, and Trackhouse Racing MotoGP Team.
This contract provides a solid foundation for the sport's next chapter under the new regulations in 2027. MotoGP, the teams, manufacturers, and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) share a vision for strengthening the championship, enhancing the fan experience, and global development.
The new framework positions the teams as key stakeholders in the future of MotoGP. This is expected to drive investment in the sport's pillars—performance improvement, fan engagement, and commercial opportunities—allowing each team to maintain its unique identity while shaping a more dynamic and exciting championship.
Enhanced Promotion and a Stable Foundation for the Future
The agreement includes enhanced promotional and marketing activities across the entire paddock. By increasing global recognition for the teams, riders, and the championship itself, the aim is to foster deeper connections with fans and achieve commercial growth in all markets.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of the MotoGP Group, stated that this signing is a decisive moment guiding the future of the championship. Lucio Cecchinello, President of IRTA (International Road Racing Teams Association), also praised the agreement as a significant step that brings stability and confidence to the teams, along with the necessary resources for long-term investment in their sporting projects.
With the conclusion of this contract, a stable operational structure is in place until 2031. Stakeholders emphasized their commitment to working together towards the clear goal of delivering the world's premier and safest racing, maximizing value for fans and partners.
