ACTIVE GALE SPEED Type-J Forged Aluminum Wheels

The "GALE SPEED Type-J" forged aluminum wheels, which were unveiled at the 2023 Spring Tokyo Motorcycle Show, are now on sale. While the design is reminiscent of the period from the late 70's to the 80's when cast aluminum wheels were used as stock wheels, the main selling point is that GALE SPEED's accumulated know-how has been fed back to achieve the light weight of today's wheels. The spoke design characteristic of forged wheels is slender and sharp, and is sure to create a refreshing new custom look when used on the latest bikes, says ACTIVE, the company behind the GALE SPEED brand. The J in "Type J" stands for Japan Classic, Jumonji (which means "cross" in Japanese), and Journey.

Compatible models cover a wide range of popular big bikes such as the Z900RS, ZRXs & Zephyrs, the ZX-14R, as well as the HAYABUSA and KATANA. In addition to the black anodized color shown in the photo, a total of 14 anodized colors will also be available as an optional service from KOHKEN.

The sample shown in the photo is for the Kawasaki Z900RS. The spokes pay homage to the cast wheels of yesteryear, but also feature the beautiful lines of the latest forged wheels. The contrast cut after anodizing is also an attractive feature that has never been seen before in the GALE SPEED series.

The attachments for the brake disc and sprocket carrier are luxuriously machined from A6061 alloy. Color anodizing by KOHKEN for these parts is also available as an option for an additional 10,000 JPY.

Rim sizes are 3.50-17 for the front and 6.00-17 for the rear.
