Webike's Opinion
Here is a "HONDA MONKEY" custom by Webike community user "Benja". MOKEY has been a long seller for about 28 years since its launch in 1967, thanks to its cute and petite style and the well-regarded 49cc engine. The exhaust system is a down exhaust by SP Takegawa with a carbon silencer. The forged aluminum brake arms by SP Takegawa has also been installed, and as shown in the photo, the appearance has been completely transformed. The KITACO TL seat was replaced with a DAYTONA Cozy seat due to discomfort caused by wear and tear over time. The riding height has been increased, and surprisingly, the change to a tuck-roll type has given it a contemporary Monkey Custom vibe. The most significant customization, without a doubt, is the addition of an OHLINS rear shock. The big owner experienced slight handling issues with the KYB rear shock when cornering, but after the replacement, such problems were completely eliminated, greatly enhancing ride comfort. The wheels are SP Takegawa's 10-inch aluminum wheels. The very presence of the MOKEY itself is a merit, leaving owners with a level of satisfaction that cannot be matched by any other bike. Wouldn't you want to own one as well?
