If you want to replace the rear shock on your Z but don't want to go with an aftermarket one with an exaggerated design, you may want to check out this newly released Adjustable Rear Shock from DAYTONA.

As you can see, the body is made entirely of machined aluminum, and the rest of the parts, including the springs, are in black to give it a stock-like design while adding a high quality feel. Inside, you'll find a nitrogen gas/oil separate chamber damper commonly used in high-performance suspensions. Additionally, the damper has stepless preload adjustment and 20-step extension adjustment, while ride height can be adjusted up to 10mm higher than the stock suspension length of 345mm. All of these functions are perfect for street use.

These shocks are compatible with the early model '73-'78 Zs with round tanks. It has not yet been confirmed if they are compatible with models made from 1979 onward which have square tanks. Great quality and price are achieved while creating a vintage look. Z owners who are looking for a rear shock that is "just right" should definitely check this out.

The all-aluminum machined body adds a sporty and high-grade feel to the vintage look. The upper side (upper photo) is equipped with a stepless preload adjuster, while the lower side (lower photo) has a 20-step extension damper adjustment dial and ride height adjustment function up to 10mm above stock.

Here they are installed on a Z1. The stock grab bar can be used, but the drive chain must be 530 size or smaller. The stock chain cover cannot be used as it will come in contact with the shock.

This product can also be installed for Zephyr 1100/750/400/400χ. However, the stock rear shock length for all models except the 1100 is 350mm, so ride height adjustment is limited to ±5mm.
