BABYFACE's GSX-R1000R
The Suzuki GSX-R series is valued not only for street use but also for closed-course riding. Therefore, it is inevitable to focus on parts suitable for such situations. This bike is equipped with original parts made by BABYFACE. The brand has been participating in many races, both in Japan and internationally, such as the JSB1000 class of the All Japan Road Race, as well as supporting other race teams and participants, and they have a large lineup of parts that have been developed based on the data gathered along the way.
Two types of step kits are available for the GSX-R1000R: a 5-position "Street Concept" suitable for street riding and an 8-position "Race Concept" (installed on this bike) for closed-course riding. The two models share a Shift Spindle Holder as an optional part, which holds the long shift shaft in place for more precise shifting. The sliders attached to each part and hooks that are convenient when transporting the bike are also born from necessity. Each of the parts has a high quality design, and should be noted for their practical use as well.
Handle
Lever guards originated for MotoGP and have now become a necessity for racing. Recently, they are also gaining popularity as useful parts for street riding.
Engine
Race Concept Engine Cover / Hard Protectors are installed on both sides of the engine. Machined from aluminum ingots, these protectors have been used in the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race and other top races. There is talk of it protecting the crankshaft from breaking after a fall, enabling the rider to stay in the race. The right side is even more effective when used with the timing hole plug in the center.
Chassis
These Racing Hooks, which are attached after the pillion holders are removed, are useful as anchor points for tie-downs. It is a popular part that is widely available for other models as well.
The step can be selected from the 8-position Race Concept (pictured / not compatible with switches) or the 5-position street version (compatible with switches), depending on the rider's needs and preferences.
Front and rear axle protectors, frame sliders, and other protective parts are now recognized as useful equipment not only for racing but also for street use.
