Asahi Sangyo, a specialized manufacturer of air gauges, will release a special edition model "80th Gauge Botal (AGE-350-80TH)" in a limited quantity of 80 units to commemorate its 80th anniversary in April 2026. Since its establishment in 1946, the company has been developing and manufacturing inspection and maintenance equipment, primarily for tire pressure management.
The commemorative model features a matte black painted body, combined with vibrant metallic red and a deep black nickel finish. The lever is engraved with "ASAHI," and the chuck has a slit processing. The 80th-anniversary logo is placed on the dial plate, and the hairline-finished ring is engraved with the serial number "No.○○/80" as proof of limited production.
Additionally, a dedicated case with the ASAHI logo, equipped with sponge molded to fit the main body shape, is included to protect the precision instrument gauge from impact. A certificate of inspection is also included as a bonus for this limited edition item.
The measurement range is set from 70 to 350 kPa. Measurement accuracy of ±5 kPa is ensured in the frequently used range of 150 to 250 kPa, and ±10 kPa in other ranges. Markers are placed on the outer circumference at the same height as the pointer to improve visibility.
The dial plate uses a luminous type, which is the hallmark of "Gauge Botal" born in 1996. It is said to provide excellent visibility even in dark places such as inside a pit, during night work, or under a vehicle. A stylishly shaped yellow pointer has been adopted to enhance visibility.
The price is 87,780 yen (tax included). Applications must be made through the dedicated website, with the first application period running from September 1 to September 15, 2026. If the number of applications exceeds 80, purchasers will be determined by lottery. The serial number will not be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis but will be determined by a lottery conducted by the company after purchase confirmation. Additionally, as part of a concurrent campaign, an "80th Muffler Towel" will be sold, and a gift campaign will be held on the official online store.
