Introducing the 'Billet Honeycomb Engine Emblem Kit,' a completely new approach to customization that makes the Z900RS's iconic cylinder fins the star. We'll share the development story behind this meticulously crafted part that enhances the density around the engine with precisely calculated clearances.

Structural Beauty to Complement Engine Design

The Z900RS's cylinder fins are a crucial design element symbolizing the motorcycle. Instead of hiding them, this product was designed to accentuate them.

Development Story

*3D printed prototype

The initial prototype featured a layout that covered the fins.

However, through repeated testing, we concluded that "it would be more aesthetically pleasing to place the structural element on the cylinder side rather than covering the fins."

The fins are the main feature. So, we decided not to hide them.

This led to the current design, which follows the side of the cylinder without obstructing the fins' form. The result is a unique layout that enhances the density around the engine while preserving the presence of the fins.

Aggressively Designed Clearance

The most critical aspect was the distance from the cylinder. Too close, and it could cause interference issues; too far, and it would lose its sense of presence. The dimensions were determined through rigorous testing for visual perfection. This 'aggressive gap' creates a sense of unity when installed.

Layout That Doesn't Interfere with Fin Lines

The design follows the horizontal lines of the fins, ensuring it doesn't disrupt their flow.

While providing structural presence, it doesn't compromise the original engine design of the Z900RS. This is the philosophy behind its shape.

A New Customization Proposal

It's not just a sticker emblem. It's not merely a cover.

This is a new approach that adds a structural accent while respecting the fins. It presents a new form to the Z900RS's side view.
