Capsule toys, known as "gacha-gacha" or "gashapon," have a wide lineup of fans among adults and children alike. Toys Cabin Corporation, a manufacturer of such capsule toys, has released many motorcycle and car-related items. Toys Cabin has released a series of rubber key chains featuring Yamaha's small and medium-sized motorcycles.

Exquisite deformation of each bike's features

Toys Cabin's items have always been a hit with motorcycle enthusiasts, such as the "Honda Cub Key Chain" released in the spring of 2025, which comes in a blister pack with a figure inside, making it an attractive item that motorcycle enthusiasts cannot help but collect. Toys Cabin's latest release, the "YAMAHA BIKE RUBBER KEYCHAIN Small/Medium Size Version," as the name implies, is a series of colorful rubber key chains featuring six different small and medium-sized Yamaha motorcycles. This series of rubber key chains was previously released by Honda, and this Yamaha is the second in the motorcycle series. The six models in the lineup this time are the SR400, MT-03/MT-25, YZF-R3/YZF-R25, XSR125, Dragster 250/400, and XMAX. They are approximately 60 mm long and 5 mm thick, and made of solid rubber, not flimsy.

The lineup includes six models: the SR400, MT-03/MT-25, YZF-R3/YZF-R25, XSR125, Dragster 250/400, and XMAX.

The rubber straps are not simply printed illustrations, but are three-dimensional reproductions of the bikes in different colored materials. The strap is made of different colored materials in three dimensions. Depending on the model, five to eight different colors are used, and even details such as the pattern on the engine and tank are reproduced.

The carabiner-type ring and rotating can are well made. The chain is short enough for easy use on a motorcycle.

The design of the bike is not simply printed; every detail of the bike is reproduced in three dimensions.

It is made of a solid rubber material that is approximately 5 mm thick, but also ensures flexibility.

The key ring itself is rubber, so it will not scratch the body of the bike when attached to the bike keys, and the key ring is not the common double-ring type, but a carabiner type that is easy to detach and attach. And the chain is short and has a swivel can, making it very easy to use. I actually tried attaching it to a motorcycle key, but depending on the type of vehicle, the chain part may hit the body parts, in which case it may be a good idea to use a leather strap or something similar.

When attached to a motorcycle key, it is just the right balance. If your car is in the lineup, you'll want to get one.

I actually stuck the key in the bike. Depending on the model of the bike, the chain part may hit the parts.

I also stuck a key in the fuel tank cap. The word "nice" is the perfect word for this one.

An attractive lineup of six models

SR400

The SR400, one of Yamaha's most famous models, was in production for over 40 years, from 1978 to 2021. Despite undergoing numerous model changes, the SR400 retained its air-cooled single-cylinder engine, kick starter, and other features, and was eventually converted to a fuel-injected model.

The fins of the air-cooled engine, a characteristic of the "SR400," have been reproduced, as well as the tank graphics.

The "SR" logo on the side cover and the "YAMAHA" logo on the engine have been reproduced in great detail.

The spoke wheels have been reproduced in detail, and the fenders and mufflers have been reproduced to have a metallic look.

MT-03/MT-25

Street-fighter style naked models equipped with liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engines. The MT-03 and MT-25 have displacements of 320cc and 250cc, respectively, and the current models in the lineup feature inverted forks.

The complex design around the tank and the lights are well reproduced, as are the features of the MT.

The engine area is reproduced using only black and gray, and the skill of RYUTA T., who was in charge of the illustration, shines through.

The muffler, wheels, and tail area also make the most of the bold and subtle deformation.

YZF-R3/YZF-R25

The YZF-R3/YZF-R25 was developed based on the concept of a "supersport for everyday use," while inheriting the name of the supersport "YZF-R" series. The latest addition to the lineup is the third-generation model, which will be fully remodeled in 2025.

The YZF-R3/25 features the characteristic fairing design with simple lines. The color is blue, Yamaha's image color.

The design of the engine, part of which peeks out from the cowl, as well as the tank to the side covers and seat, are well reproduced.

The details around the distinctive wheels and seat cowl are simple but well designed.

XSR125

The youngest brother of Neo Retro Design's XSR series, the XSR125 is one of the most popular bikes in the 125cc class. This is the most elaborate of the rubber key chain series, with many colors used. It could also be used as the "XSR155.

The "XSR125" features a brown seat. The unique and beautiful neo-classic design has been recreated.

The tank and side cover designs have also been meticulously reproduced for a stylish finish.

The design of the wheels and muffler are well reproduced, and the technology used to reproduce the illustration in three dimensions is excellent.

Dragster 250/400

The Toys Cabin labeled the model as "Dragster 250/Dragster 400," but it appears to be based on the "Dragster 400" because of the rigid rear style. The stretched American cruiser design makes it one of the most popular even 10 years after its discontinuation.

The "Dragster 250/400" has a striking fuel tank and fender color. The beautiful cruiser design has been reproduced.

The air-cooled V-twin engine with a strong presence and the fuel tank design are well reproduced.

The 400's distinctive rigid-style swingarm is reproduced. Silver is used for parts that are plated on the actual vehicle.

XMAX

The XMAX is a sports scooter introduced in Japan in 2018 as the successor to the Majestic, which became a social phenomenon. The keyholder model appears to be the Blueish Gray Cocktail 2, which joined the lineup in 2025.

The "XMAX" is an exact replica of the sporty image of the real car. The windscreen and other features are also well designed.

The complex fairing design is reproduced with simple lines. The fairing also features a reproduction of Yamaha's triple tuning fork logo.

The gold wheels and gray body color will be inspired by the 2025 Blueish Gray Cocktail 2.

Wonderfully designed and made, and a great collectible, this "YAMAHA Bike Rubber Keychain Small and Medium Edition" will be available as a Gashapon item for 400 yen a pop, starting in November 2025. However, the author has one complaint. My car is a Yamaha XSR700, and although it is a Yamaha, it is a large one, so naturally it is not included in the "small and medium size" lineup this time. Toys Cabin, next time, please make sure to include the XSR700 in the "large size" lineup! You'll want to collect them all! Toys Cabin's "YAMAHA Bike Rubber Keychain Small and Medium Edition" is now available as a capsule toy!  (25)
