BMW Motorrad has unveiled the "R 12 G/S GS Trophy Competition Bike," a dedicated competition motorcycle for the "International GS Trophy 2026" to be held in Romania in late summer 2026. Based on the R 12 G/S, this model is fully equipped with a wealth of exclusive accessories, making it suitable for harsh off-road conditions.
Fully Equipped with Exclusive Accessories for Tough Off-Road Riding
The 2026 International GS Trophy will be held in Romania, Europe. To cope with the diverse off-road environments, including mountains, forests, and rivers, that will test riders' skills and machine performance, the R 12 G/S GS Trophy Competition Bike has been developed as a dedicated competition vehicle.
This vehicle comes standard with the "Comfort Package," which includes Hill Start Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro, heated grips, and cruise control. Furthermore, it is equipped with "Headlight Pro," an adaptive cornering light, and "Riding Modes Pro" to support riding in all conditions.
The suspension and protection components feature the "Enduro Package Pro," which includes off-road tires, an 18-inch rear wheel, and handlebar risers. It is also equipped with an engine protection bar, cylinder head covers, a rally cockpit fairing, an Akrapovič silencer, and a 5-liter tank bag that can be used as a rear bag, creating a robust specification ready for practical use.
Reproduction Possible with the Commercially Available "R 12 G/S"
The body color is based on Light White Uni, combined with blue tank tape and a red seat. This sporty color scheme, which strongly expresses the DNA of BMW Motorrad Motorsport, is designed to stand out in the natural landscapes of Romania.
While this competition machine itself will not be sold to the public, it is possible for users to recreate this specification by selecting similar accessories based on the commercially available "R 12 G/S," with the exception of details such as decals.
