Castrol Honda LCR announced that Johann Zarco is expected to return to racing at the Aragon GP, which begins on August 28th. He had injured his left knee ligament in a crash at the sixth round, the Catalunya GP, but his recovery has been progressing well, leading to an earlier return date.

If he passes the medical check at the circuit on the 29th, he will officially return.

J. Zarco Aims to Return at Aragon GP

Castrol Honda LCR has revealed that their rider, Johann Zarco, is aiming to return to racing at the Aragon GP. He aims to compete for the first time since his crash at the sixth round, the Catalunya GP, and passing the mandatory medical check at the circuit on August 29th (Thursday) is the condition for his participation.

Zarco, who injured his left knee ligament in a fall in Barcelona, and his medical team opted for conservative treatment without surgery. While his initial target for return was September, his recovery has significantly improved in recent weeks, making an earlier return plan possible.

Johann Zarco has begun rehabilitation for his return, training on a Supermoto and a CBR1000RR. With his steady recovery confirmed, the final go-ahead has been given, and he will undergo the medical check at Aragon. If he passes the examination, Zarco is scheduled to resume his work on the circuit with Castrol Honda LCR.
